SK Innovation subsidiaries will make aggressive investments and speed up technology development to facilitate low-carbon operations and slash its carbon emissions. The company will communicate its actual progress towards net zero, which of course includes specific carbon reduction data, with external stakeholders and make devoted endeavors to reach net zero with sincere commitment and responsibility.

To effectively reduce carbon emissions, the SK Innovation subsidiaries have established a road map for the comprehensive reduction of Scope 3 emissions, encompassing their major subsidiaries, in 2022.
The energy and chemical business, which main source of carbon emissions of Scope 3, has set a absolute amount of 25% reduction in 2030 and 70% reduction in 2050 compared to 2019 based on Scope 3 absolute green gas emissions, and is making efforts to reduce them directly through the conversion of Biz Portfolio.
